Sushant Singh Rajput Case: CBI Officials On Their Way To Record Father KK Singh & Sister Rani’s Statement!

Days after registering a case against Rhea Chakraborty and her family members in connection with the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, a Central Bureau of Investigation team is likely to record the statement of the late actor’s father and sister.

According to CBI sources, a team of the agency officials is likely to visit the residence of Sushant’s brother-in-law in Haryana’s Faridabad to record the statement of K.K. Singh and his daughter Rani Singh.

K.K. Singh has been for the past few days staying with his daughter and son-in-law O.P. Singh, who is also Faridabad’s Commissioner of Police.

The CBI team will question Singh and other family members on Sushant’s death and the late actor’s relation with Rhea and others. The allegations made by Singh in an FIR lodged in Patna regarding the financial transactions from Sushant’s bank accounts to the tune of Rs 15 crore and the depletion in fixed deposits (FDs) amount over the last couple of years will also come up.

On August 7, the CBI took over the Sushant death case on the request of the Bihar government. This happened after a central government notification was issued.

It has since collected all documents from the Bihar Police in connection with the case. The agency will seek help from health experts to understand the autopsy report of the late actor. They will also take their professional guidance to understand his mental health condition as well.

The CBI team, if required will also speak to the Bihar Police officials, who had gone to Mumbai to probe after Sushant’s father lodged the FIR.

On K.K. Singh’s complaint, the Bihar Police had registered a case against Rhea and several others on July 25. Sushant’s father has accused the actress, who was his son’s live-in partner, of cheating and threatening his son and keeping him away from the family.

Sushant passed away on June 14 in his Bandra flat.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has also initiated a money laundering probe on the basis of the Patna police’s FIR. It has been questioning Rhea, her brother Showik, their father Indrajit and several others continuously since Friday.

Indrajit Chakraborty was being questioned for the first time on Monday besides his children. Rhea’s ex-manager Shruti Modi and another has also been quizzed in connection with the probe at its Mumbai office.

Earlier, a verbal duel erupted between the governments of Maharashtra and Bihar over the investigation initiated by the Bihar Police in the case.

In the wake of the nepotism battle, it’s always nice to hear what insiders and outsiders have to say. Now, actor Darshan Kumaar, who made his debut as a male lead in Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom, said insiders do have an edge over outsiders in Bollywood, but nothing can outshine talent.

He even talked about how it takes many years to understand the ropes of the industry which insiders know beforehand.

Darshan said, “Obviously, insiders, who know the industry from their childhood and whose fathers are stars or producers, have been stars over outsiders, who come from outside and who don’t know the ABCD.” He added: “It takes many years to understand the industry and how it works, which they (insiders) know from before.”

“They are prepared from before (for) what they have to do whereas we (get to) know about these things when we come here, so it takes time. But if you are talented no one can stop you,” Darshan said.

The Mary Kom actor continued: “Thanks to the audience, they want to see good actors. In the past, one set of styles could work but now it has changed, as audiences get bored if an actor is doing one set of roles. It is a good time for theatre actors who are working on their skills, and acting as they can perform different roles and look their best.”

“If you don’t perform well, the audience will not like you, and in future, you will not get work. So, this insider and outsider debate does not exist there. So, it might work once but later you have to show your talent and skills to get work,” he added.

Looking back at his journey, Darshan said: “I started from doing theatre in Delhi and then came to Mumbai and joined Neena Gupta’s group for 14 to 15 years. And through these years I have learnt a lot. When I first came to Mumbai, I did not know anyone and it took me years to understand how the industry functions. Like meeting everyone, going for auditions, how to meet casting directors and how to give photos in different offices. We had very limited budget, so we would leave in the morning with one packet of biscuits and give auditions the entire day. Eating those biscuits with tea or water is what I have seen. So, I think the passion for work and acting and sacrifices done helps as an actor.”

After “Mary Kom”, Darshan went on to do “NH 10”, “Sarbjit”, “A Gentleman”, “Baaghi 2”, and “The Family Man”. He currently stars in the web series “Avrodh: The Siege Within”, which is live on SonyLIV.

The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic will only enhance the existing inequality and disparity in Indian society, and also impact economy and education, feels actor Atul Kulkarni.

With educational institutions shut owing to lockdown, online education has become an alternative for students.

“Everything is uncertain today but one thing certain, especially in a developing country like India, is that the disparity and inequality in our society are going to grow. Not only economic disparity. It will also have an effect on the education,” Atul told IANS.

Commenting on the same, the actor said: “For online education, you need certain equipment at home. You need parents who can teach children at home. If you go to a village or even in Mumbai if you go to a slum, such a cultural capital is not with parents. As a result, you will see a huge inequality and disparity in education. It is going to come and bite us seven or eight years from now. The attempt of every government should be to reduce that inequality.”

Asked how his life changed over the past few months of COVID-19 lockdown, Atul Kulkarni commented: “I have not really missed shooting or the sets. I have not really missed Mumbai because I have been staying in my farmhouse for the last four months. I have really enjoyed my stay at the farmhouse. My NGO works from there and work on that front is going on.”

On the work front, the National Award-winning actor features in the recently-released Amazon Prime web series “Bandish Bandits”.

Sharing his experience of working in the musical, the actor said: “Music is the ‘atma’ of ‘Bandish Bandits’. I am happy that I got this opportunity to try something I have never done before — to act like a classical singer.

“Classical singing is extremely difficult, to sing the sargam isn’t very easy especially when you have the breathless Shankar (Mahadevan) lending his voice to you!” he added.

Asked if he would like to go through training to get a hold of classical singing, Atul Kulkarni joked: “I would perhaps need 49 births to sing classical!”

Krushna Abhishek On Being Govinda’s Nephew & Nepotism: “I Am From A Film Family, I Should Have Been In Varun Dhawan’s Position”

Krushna Abhishek On Being Govinda’s Nephew & Nepotism: “I Am From A Film Family, I Should Have Been In Varun Dhawan’s Position”

The nepotism debate has found new vigour in the industry ever since the unfortunate demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Now the latest to give his views on the debate is one of the Indian Televisions most loved comedian, Krushna Abhishek. It is no secret that the comedian is the nephew of veteran actor Govinda. But he says that the relationship has never helped him in professional gains.

Calling the whole nepotism debate rather baseless, Krushna Abhishek says that while he may be Govinda’s nephew, he has to get work on his own merit. The actor-comedian feels that each individual has a journey of their own. Speaking about the much-hyped nepotism debate, Krushna was quoted by Hindustan Times saying, “Everyone has to struggle on their own. Yes, I am Govinda’s nephew but Govinda doesn’t work in place of me. Woh nahi aate mere liye kaam karne, mujhe khud kaam karna padta hai. Maybe Govinda will get me work but after that it’s all about talent. Nepotism has no role in it.”

Further opening up about the same, Krushna Abhishek says that just being from a film family cannot change an individual’s fate. “It doesn’t matter at all which film family you belong to. I’m from a film family; I should have been in (actor) Varun Dhawan’s position. But I’m struggling on my own. Varun Dhawan’s father is (filmmaker) David Dhawan, but he also probably thinks he should be in some other position. Everyone has their own journey and struggle.”

Amid all these conversations, Krushna Abhishek says that the death of Sushant Singh Rajput was a personal loss for him. “I cried so much when I got the news. He was my friend, we both were a part of a dance reality show and I couldn’t bear the news. It is so sad because he was so bright. But I also think that he set a very wrong example by what he did. So many youngsters used to look up at him and his wonderful journey. I hope the youth does not get affected by this. I can only wish that they don’t lose hope about chasing their dreams.”

The nation is crying over the death of Sushant, who was indeed a very talented and kind soul. Meanwhile, the investigations around the suicide of the Kedarnath actor are getting murkier by the day. We only hope and pray that eventually truth prevails and justice is done.

The debate of nepotism is never-ending in Bollywood for the past few years. It all started when Kangana Ranaut called Karan Johar the flagbearer of nepotism on his show, Koffee With Karan season 5. But who thought that one remark today will become a major Bollywood debate with time?

After taunting Karan, the Panga actress didn’t stop. She became more vocal about other Bollywood controversies. There have been times when she didn’t mince words and directly attacked a particular personality.

Today, in a video, we share with you Kangana Ranaut’s most controversial statements so far. During a press meet, the actress was asked how Bollywood celebs were promoting each other’s movies on social media. Does she think they should’ve promoted her film Manikarnika and if it would’ve benefited her in some way? The actress answered, “Mere liye kya benefit karega. Mujhe 3-4 Rashtra Puraskar mil chuke hai. I’m 31 and a filmmaker. Mujhe toh yeh log kya promote karenge? Yeh log khud ko hi promote karenge toh bohot badi baat hai.”

Kangana Ranaut added, “Lekin jo Rani of Jhansi hai, wo kya meri chachi hai? Wo aapki bhi utni hai jitni meri hai. Toh fir kyu darr rahe hai, kyunki maine ‘nepotism’ karke bola? Inki hawaiyaan udd gayi? Sab gang banakar baithe hai ke nepotism ke baare mein usne kyu bola?”.

During Manikarnika trailer launch event, Kangana had targeted Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. In an interview, the actors said that don’t have political views. KR said, “Aise nahi chalta. You have to be responsible. Ranbir Kapoor was telling someone that there is water-electricity in my house, main kyu politics ke baat karu? Desh ke wajah se aapka ghar hai. Deshwasiyon ke hi paise hai jiske wajah se aap Mercedes mein ghumte hai. How can you talk like that? This is irresponsible.”

Kangana Ranaut further added, “You should talk about your political inclination. What do you think as a youth of this country? This is absolutely irresponsible.”

Another piece of shocking news breaks the internet today and it has some earth-shattering revelations made by actress Mahima Chaudhry. After the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, an outsiders vs insiders debate in the industry has prompted celebrities to speak their heart out. Many celebrities have come out in open and spoken about why outsiders find it so hard to get a foothold in Bollywood.

Recently, Bollywood actress Mahima Chaudhry, who made her debut with Pardes (1997) opposite Shah Rukh Khan, alleged that filmmaker Subash Ghai bullied her in the past. She claims that if she was from the industry, she wouldn’t have been bullied so much.

“I was bullied by Mr Subhash Ghai. He even took me to the court and wanted me to cancel my first show. It was quite stressful. He sent a message to all the producers that nobody should work with me!” said Mahima, as per reports in Bollywood Hungama.

Mahima Chaudhry further added, “If you pick up one of the issues of Trade Guide magazine in 1998 or 1999, there was an ad that he had given which stated that if anybody wanted to work with me, that person would have to contact him. Otherwise, it would be a breach of contract. However, there was no such contract which said that I had to seek his permission.”

Mahima said that it was only four people from the industry, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, David Dhawan and Rajkumar Santoshi who stood in her support. “They all told me to stay strong. David Dhawan called and told me that, ‘Don’t worry and don’t let him bully you.’ Apart from these four people, I didn’t receive a call from anyone else.”

However, Mahima claimed that she lost out on some projects because of this. According to her she was supposed to star in the 1998 film Satya but was replaced by Urmila Matondkar. It was supposed to be her second film and she had signed, however, without any information film’s director, Ram Gopal Varma, replaced her and began shooting with Mantodkar

Rhea Chakraborty’s Leaked Phone Number Belongs To A Man From Mumbai; He Gets Flooded With Hate & Threat Calls

We all know that after the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, there is a lot of rage in fans against Rhea Chakraborty. They hold the late Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea responsible for his death.

Earlier the Jalebi actress had reported that she has been getting many R*pe threats from fans on social media which has traumatised her. But now because of all this, a common man had to suffer.

A 32-year-old man from Mumbai had to block around 150 callers as he has been receiving harassing and abusive calls from the people. His number has got mistaken for actress Rhea Chakraborty’s number.

According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the person who has been getting these calls is Sagar Surve, a clerical staffer of an educational institute and his number differs from Rhea’s by just one digit. And poor guy has been receiving abusive calls for over a week now.

When Sagar initially started getting calls asking for Rhea, he dismissed them as wrong numbers. But later when the calls got frequent, and the messages started getting toxic, Sagar’s cousin alerted him that a news channel was flashing Rhea’s number while showing her and Sushant’s call records.

He even pointed out that his number differed from the actress’ by just a digit. He even got in touch with the police and they suggested him to use another number for a while since he wanted to avoid filing a complaint.

Actress and former beauty queen Manushi Chhillar, on the occasion of International Youth Day on Wednesday, said that youth should feel free to be themselves, but also warned against online toxicity.

“We, the youth of our country, are riding on the technology wave and while there are massive advantages, there are disadvantages too. We are dealing with severe online toxicity and hate that one shouldn’t face growing up. Rather the youth should feel free to be themselves, discover their identities, make mistakes and learn from them,” Manushi said.

She added: “I pray we are super strong to take on this much negativity that’s thrown at all of us on a daily basis and are able to distinguish between what matters and what doesn’t.”

Manushi wants the youth to always know that these things don’t really matter.

“Likes and shares and comments in the virtual world are definitely adding up to the pressure and I would want the youth to always know that these things don’t really matter. It’s not real despite being quantifiable. What matters is who we are, what our core values are, how we treat others and how responsible we are towards our family, friends, environment and country,” she said.

Manushi feels living through the COVID pandemic has definitely set new priorities for the youth, including her.

“Youth and children are also growing up in an environment where they are living through a pandemic today and that’s bound to impact the way we envision the future. I hope it doesn’t unnerve the youth to explore and express. Youth should not be shy to innovate and to lead life fearlessly as we are the explorers of our future,” she says.

Manushi welcomes the conversation that the youth are maturing faster in an age of technology.

“All the innovations and all the predicaments that we have seen in such a quick time, will definitely have an impact. I hope it only forms a part of the youth’s evolution process and doesn’t disillusion them from having experiences. Youth is meant to live without fear, live free and always feel that they can chase the sun,” she said.

Manushi shared that on International Youth Day, she wishes that the youth of the country don’t succumb to these external pressures and continues to dream.

She said: “These minds will shape up the future of this world and I’m most excited to see what they create for themselves and other generations.”

Manushi is all set to make her Bollywood debut opposite superstar Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film ‘Prithviraj’. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, ‘Prithviraj’ is based on the life of King Prithviraj Chauhan. It stars Akshay as Prithviraj, while Manushi will play the role of the Sanyogita, the love of his life.

Ever since actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging at his home in Mumbai on June 14, the media, social media and Bollywood lovers in general have been vocally expressing their views on the tragedy.

On social media, #Justiceforsushant has been trending all these months, showing how concerned people are about the case.

Yet Bollywood, the industry where Sushant made his mark as an actor and star, has strangely been quiet.

“I just want justice for him. Why is Bollywood quiet now? Nobody is saying a single word for his life, otherwise they are always active on social media. Be it an elephant attack or anything else, they speak on anything and everything. But no one raised their voice here. It’s really sad,” said TV actress Shilpa Raizada.

Shilpa, who is currently seen in “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, shared that she recently watched Sushant’s last film “Dil Bechara” and said that people should have appreciated him before his death, like they are doing now.

“It was not supposed to be his last film, but unfortunately it became one. I feel all that people said and wrote about him now, should have been done before, when he was alive,” she said.

“Now, every day I get to read and hear such good things about him, that I feel sad, because I feel somewhere we also did injustice to him. Imagine, how happy he would have been had all those appreciation and compliments were made when he was alive. I understand you can’t praise everyone every day, but if you want to criticise them, do it in a way that it encourages them and motivates them. Hina Khan has been part of the television for over a decade. The actress, who has also featured in Hindi films, fails to understand why small screen stars are looked down upon in Bollywood.

Talking about why there is hardly any bond between Bollywood and the small screen industry, Hina told IANS: “Well, we are ready to work if given an opportunity. I am not the right person because I come from both the mediums. I have done theatrical films, I have done digital (films) and then I have done television for the longest time.”

“So, I am somewhere in the middle and I can speak on both the cases. What I see after all these years is that we (TV stars) are looked down upon. I don’t know why,” she added.

Hina even made a debut at the Cannes Film Festival last year, following which there was criticism about her appearance from sections of the media. “For me, I always mentioned things change because I hit the Cannes (red) carpet. I set an example for television. It became huge news and then other things happened. The whole industry came together and fought for me. But why are we looked down upon? I just don’t get it,” she said.

Hina, who rose to fame with her performance as Akshara in the show “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, added: “I walked the carpet and some stupid comparison is done. Why? Had it been some film star’s son or daughter it wouldn’t have happened. It gives a clear sign that they look down upon us.”

But why does she feel TV actors are looked down upon, even though the medium has given actors like Shah Rukh Khan and the late Sushant Singh Rajput, among others? She said, “Television actors are trained differently. We work in stressful conditions, unlike films. I have done films. I know how films are shot, how comfortable and how much effort and training goes on before shooting starts. That does not happen in television. We are given a bunch of scripts every day.”

Hina added: “You got to learn your lines, come on sets, there is so much stress. That doesn’t happen in films. Maybe, that way our training is better because we are ready to shoot for 18 hours at a stretch. We can deliver 10 pages in one go when it comes to realistic performance and television. I have always mentioned it is over the top, when it comes to performance.”

Despite such demands of TV acting, Hina said: “That does not mean we cannot do it (films). Maybe we need certain training, maybe we also need a film to understand ‘that oh my god, I need to do this a little subtle. I need to improve here’. But that opportunity is not given to us.”

“If a film is given to us, we are judged upon that film,” she said, of the plight that TV actors often face when they try out acting in films.

She urged for a “fair chance” for television actors. “We are not given 10 films. Anyone who is a star kid, they have the backing of 10 films. They get one film and they understand their flaws, (in the) second film they do a little better, (in the) third film they get an award, and the fourth film they are the best actors,” she summed up.

Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: ED Has Found No Big Direct Transfer To Rhea Chakraborty's Bank Account
Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: ED Has Found No Big Direct Transfer To Rhea Chakraborty’s Bank Account

Rhea Chakraborty was summoned by ED earlier this week regarding Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. She was questioned for 8 hours and the reports from the investigation are now out.

It has been revealed that ED has found no big direct transfers from Sushant’s account to Rhea‘s or even her family.

According to Indian Express, close sources have reported that there are withdrawals of an amount close to Rs 55 lakh. These withdrawals are from Sushant’s primary account with Kotak Bank. Sources added that the agency is tracking the trail of these withdrawals from his account which had about Rs 15 crore at the beginning of the last financial year and was used to make tax and travel-related payments, among other things. ED has also found that Rhea Chakraborty is not a joint account holder in any of Sushant’s bank accounts.

It has also been reported that Rhea was asked about the instances of alleged mismatch between her income and expenses. She was asked to submit documents of her investments and income. The actress and her brother Showik Chakraborty along with Sushant Singh Rajput were reportedly partners in at least two companies i.e. Front India For World Foundation set up in January 2020 and Vividrage Rheality x Private Limited that was set up in September 2019.

Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14. Earlier the cause of death was said to be suicide but now many people are calling it a murder.

Gunjan Saxena: "In My Journey, The Supportive Environment Was My Family & Then Indian Air Force"
Gunjan Saxena: “In My Journey, The Supportive Environment Was My Family & Then Indian Air Force”

Just a day after the Indian Air Force (IAF) raised objection over the presentation of gender bias in ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, former IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena has opened up about her experience at the Air Force as compared to what has been portrayed in the commercial film. She said she had the support of fellow officers, supervisors, and commanding officers.

On Wednesday, it was revealed that IAF has written a letter to Dharma Productions, Netflix and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), raising objections over the inaccurate presentation of gender bias in ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.’ The film documents the life of Gunjan Saxena and her journey towards becoming the first Indian Air Force woman pilot, who was part of the 1999 Kargil conflict. The Air Force said that certain scenes and dialogues in the movie portray it in a “negative light”.

When IANS asked Saxena how she perceives all such sequences, she said: “Indian Air Force is at the core and the heart of this film. It is the very training of the Indian Air Force and the strong ethos of the Indian Air Force, which really gave me the courage to do all those extraordinary things that I could. And not only me, I think it is the strong values and rich culture of the air force that is really the driving force behind all the women officers from all the different branches of the Indian Air Force who have served or are still serving in this organisation.”

“Yes, as a commercial movie or as a work of fiction, this film has creatively tried to capture my story or my journey. But what cannot be denied is that even in this film the doors did open and opportunities were given,” added Saxena. Gunjan graduated from Hansraj College in Delhi and cleared the entrance exam and joined the Indian Air Force in 1994.

The real-life hero continued: “Equal opportunities were there for me to perform, and I think they are still there for all the women officers who are in this organisation. We don’t need any other or bigger proof than the fact that over the last 20 years the number of women officers in the Indian Air Force has gone up at such a high rate. So, this shows that the Indian Air Force, which is such a deeply respected institution, has been so progressive and positive about bringing about this change in itself. So I think that’s how I would like to address this question.”

Reflecting upon her dream, she said: “As a young girl, my only dream was to fly, be there in the blue skies and this personal dream of mine was realised through the Indian Air Force, and that’s why I feel that for any dream to become a reality, I think it is also very important for the environment around that individual to be supportive. In my journey that supportive environment was first my family and then it was the Indian Air Force, and I think that is a reason I was able to realise my individual dream of flying.”

In ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl‘, which released on Netflix, Janhvi Kapoor plays the titular role.

Apart from the emotion, patriotic spirit and drama, the one thing that was highlighted in the narrative of the movie was how casual sexism can play a big role in chipping one’s dream, and fuel the whole gender divide.

Asked about how hard it was for her to find a way through despite the gender bias, Saxena said: “I think I was always lucky to have people around me who supported me and who rooted for me. Be it my family or the Indian Air Force at both places, I got support to pursue my dream and it’s a privilege. If you are the first one to be doing something, along with the privilege comes a whole lot of responsibility.

“Whenever there is a major change happening in any organisation or any field for that matter, it is never easy. There are teething troubles. During my initial days in the Indian Air Force, I had the support of my fellow officers, my supervisors and commanding officers who helped me during the difficult times or when I was caught in a difficult situation,” she added.

Saxena continued: “When there is major change happening, some of the individuals are able to accept change more readily as compared to the others, and some individuals take more time to adjust to a major change. So I think that’s how I would like to put it and what is really of consequence and importance here and what really needs to be focused is that even though it did take time for some individuals to change, that change did occur, it did happen and in a very positive and right direction.”

At present, Saxena spends her time looking after her daughter. She might be away from the sky, but her love for flying high is very much alive.

“Looking after my family and daily chores keeps me occupied. For the last three years, I’ve been involved in this process of this film being made. I’m very fortunate that my husband is still in active flying. We still have discussions around aviation, which I find very interesting and enjoyable,” she said.

“At times when I sleep, I have dreams of being in the cockpit or flying a sortie,” said Saxena. She feels the film is not just about her but also about “so many other extraordinary women”.

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has written a letter to Kushan Nandy, director and producer of the film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, and Kiran Shroff, co-producer of the film, seeking clearance of pending dues of technicians who worked in the film, before they start to shoot their next production.

Nandy recently announced his new production ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’, which has Shroff as creative producer, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma.

In a separate letter to Siddiqui, FWICE informed about the issue of pending payment of technicians and requesting the actor to stay away from the forthcoming film till the dispute is solved.

On Friday, FWICE informed on social media that a non-cooperation directive has been issued against Nandy and Shroff.

The federation posted on their unverified Twitter account: “Non-Cooperation Directive has been issued against the director @KushanNandy and Creative Producer @kiranshroff due to the pending payment of technicians for the film “Babumoshai Bandookbaaz” @Nawazuddin_S, @NaeemAhmadINC.”

They also shared a letter addressed to M/s Kushan Nandy and Kiran Shroff Pictures Pvt. Ltd. The Subject reads: “Recovery of the cheque bounce amount plus up to date interest of the film Babumoshai Bandookbaaz”.

The letter goes: “Dear Sir/Madam, We have come to know that you are directing a film ‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Neha Sharma produced by Naeem A Siddiqui with Kiran Shyam Shroff as the creative producer. The shooting starts in February 2021 in Lucknow, Benaras and Mumbai.”

“We draw your attention towards the check number **** dated 25th November 2017 on Allahabad Bank favouring FWICE for Rs 7,75,000 for the film ‘Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ which bounced because of your instructions in the bank to stop the payment. Our requests fell on deaf ears.”

“It is our humble request to you to pay the following amount within seven days. 7,75,000 (plus interest plus service charges), total Rs 12,36,125 only.”

“In case you do not deposit the same amount in the stipulated time, Non-Cooperation Directive will be issued once again against both of you at your risk and consequences.”

The letter written to Nawaz says: “In this respect, we regret to inform you that we had issued a Non-Cooperation Directive against the director Mr Kushan Nandy and creative producer Ms Kiran Shroff. It is our humble request to restrain yourself working in the forthcoming film till the disputed matter is solved. We shall be highly grateful to you for your cooperation.”

‘Jogira Sara Ra Ra’ is scheduled to go on floors in February 2021.

Actors Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal have lent their support to a short film, Transform India, which focuses on rural economic revolution.

The real-life lovers joined hands to support social activist Mayank Gandhi’s short film.

Ali added: “The movement aims to address some major problems of farmers like rural distress, poverty, suicides, and deprivation. Their prototype work in drought-hit and suicide-prone regions of Marathwada in Maharashtra, started in 2016, has been impressive.”

Talking about reaching out to Richa and Ali, Gandhi said: “We have seen that Richa and Ali have a credible thought process about social issues, and express a constructive solution for the same. Their genuine concern for the environment, rural economy, and the prosperity of our farmers is commendable.”

Actress Richa Chadha believes that little acts of kindness go a long way. She feels the need of the hour is a systemic shift in how people perceive nature.

Last month, the actress and her fiance Ali Fazal sent out 1000s of PPE masks to frontline workers. Now, and environmentalist, Dr R.K Nair, has planted 650 saplings in the names of Richa and Ali at Pulwama Shahid Vann, Umbergaon Gujarat, as a thank you gesture for their charity gesture.

“To say that we need to step up to protect the environment in the face of the pandemic is truly underplaying it. Dr Nair’s gesture touched our hearts because he gave us hope that each of us are capable of creating great changes. The need of the hour is a systemic shift in how we perceive nature,” said Richa Chadha.

“There’s a pre-existent symbiotic equation that must be respected. The capability of being a hero is in each of us and Dr Nair’s gestures makes us want to be better people and do more for the world around us,” Richa Chadha added.

Ali Fazal pointed out that he doesn’t like talking about achievements but “Dr R.K. Nair’s thank you message to Richa Chadha and me truly melted my heart”.

“I know the number is not a huge pathbreaking number of trees but for me, it’s a big step forward personally because during this lockdown, I have realised the power of good and the power of reach. And without ignoring the power of hunger and helplessness. The solution for all lies in our own hands, fortunately and unfortunately,” he added.
