On Sunday, some Bollywood celebs were invited for meeting related to CAA by Union Minister Piyush Goyal and BJP vice president Baijayant Jay Panda. Ranvir Shorey, Anu Malik, Shaan, Bhushan Kumar, Prasoon Joshi, Kunal Kohli, Roop Kumar Rathod, Abhishek Kapoor, Kailash Kher, Shashi Rajan, Anu Rajan, Ramesh Taurani and Rahul Rawail had attended the meeting in the evening.
The meeting was held by the ministers to discuss the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) and to clear the ‘misinformation’ around it. From the day CAA happened in India, a lot of people including several Bollywood celebs have criticised it. Actor Ranvir Shorey has shared what happened during the meet.

Ranvir told Indian Express, “We were mostly clearing the air around CAA. The fact how it’s not about taking the citizenship away but granting it to refugees from neighbouring Islamic countries. The government feels there is a lot of misinterpretation regarding the CAA, because of which there are protests still going on.”
The actor added that he was already in support of CAA but it was pointed out to him that there could be some problems with it along with NRC for the minorities. He revealed that he mentioned it to the BJP leaders but he was given assurance that it won’t affect the citizens of India.
Ranvir shared, “I was also told the Home Minister and Prime Minister themselves have given assurances that the NRC or any exercise will legally be conducted in a way where no Indian citizen will be affected.”

Kanhaiya Kumar, who has been a former student leader, was also seen with the rally.
People close to her stated to the sources that she is there to express solidarity with the students. It was around 7.30 pm when she arrived at the leafy campus. She was also present at the public meeting for 15 minutes. She had a word with a couple of members from the students’ union and left.
She has surely surprised and rose out of the disturbing silence maintained by most of the actors over the matter. This clearly shows her intentions and where does her choice lie about the controversial Citizenship Amendment Act.

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Sunday after 28 days of stay for pneumonia treatment.
Sharing her health update, Mangeshkar took to Twitter and wrote: “Namaskaar, For the past 28 days, I was at Breach Candy hospital. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors preferred that I extend my stay in the hospital and go home when completely healthy. Today, I am back home with the blessings of Mai and Baba.”

Man named Vikas Sachdeva was found guilty Indian Penal Code Section 354 (assault or criminal force on woman with an intent to outrage her modesty). The judgement was passed by the Special Judge A D Deo, under the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

She spoke how a person on the flight molested her on board. The video went viral in no time and also reached to the police who filed a complaint.
In the video she said, “So, I was in a flight travelling from Delhi to Mumbai today and right behind me one middle-aged man who made my two-hour journey miserable. I tried to record it on the phone to understand it better because the cabin lights were dimmed, I failed to get it.”

A Bollywood casting director named Navin Kumar Premlal Arya has been arrested by the social service branch (SSB) of Mumbai Police for reportedly running a prostitution racket in the city.
The SSB rescued two junior artistes, aged 18 and 25, who were also found to be involved in the racket. The police said the accused used to charge Rs 60,000 per woman, according to a report in hindustantimes.com.

Rewale was quoted as saying: “A decoy customer contacted Navin Kumar and he agreed to send two girls who work in the film industry as a model and artiste. The accused demanded Rs 60000 from the decoy customer for each woman and asked to book hotel in advance.”
“As soon as Navin Kumar arrived with the girls and his identity was confirmed, we arrested him and the women were rescued after recording their statement,” he added.
During the inquiry, it came to light that one of the girls was from Delhi, and was involved in the racket over the past year.

Pooja took to Twitter on Saturday to express how the Film City in Mumbai’s Goregaon is turning into a mess. She suggested that instead of waiting for the authorities to intervene, people from the film industry should take an initiative to clean it.
She tweeted: “Film City is bustling with activity. Shame that it is in such a mess. Debris from sets long de-constructed lie everywhere. The access roads are non-existent. Why can’t we film folk clean up after we create these imaginary worlds on camera? Authorities don’t seem to care. But we must.”
Reacting to Pooja’s tweet, a user urged superstars Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn to do something to clean up film city which takes an even worse shape in the prolonged monsoon of Mumbai.
The tweet read: “Why authorities to blame, take it on your own. From these sets you earn millions of rupees and thrown debris everywhere. This stretch becomes worst in monsoon. Sir @SrBachchan @akshaykumar @ajaydevgn plz look into and start swachchta Abhiyan in FC Goregaon everyone will support u.”
Another user suggested: “Bollywood must act as an organization. Should have a monitoring body which ensure such things to be done by without fail by the concerned film crew.”

It’s all about the verses between two dance groups – Team India VS Team Pakistan in London. Team India is Sahej’s (Varun Dhawan) Street Dancers & Team Pakistan is Inayat’s (Shraddha Kapoor) Rulebreakers. The rivalry between them is registered from the moment they meet but there’s no backdrop apart from the religious difference. Brother Inder (Punit Pathak) burdens his dream of winning the Ground Zero dance competition on Sahej (Varun Dhawan).
Anna (Prabhudheva) who runs a hotel shows the reality of stuck immigrants to Inayat and the team. They now want to win the battle to help those immigrants. Sahej with three of his best dancers joins London’s local group The Royals and gets criticised for his decision. Now, what he does next and how well does he do on the path of his ‘homecoming’ is what the rest of the story is all about.

Street Dancer 3D Movie Review: Script Analysis
Before we dive deep into the technical aspects, could someone in the comments section remind me why this isn’t called ABCD3? Remo D’Souza’s goes a mile ahead of actually including a story in between all the dance. It’s very manipulating when it introduces the emotional angle but surprisingly it works at places. Good to see how Remo D’Souza takes a dig at dance films, when in a scene Varun says, “4-5 saalo se yahi dance toh kar rahe hai.”
One major thing where the film lacks is its storyline. However good the choreography is when you know who’ll win it ultimately eliminates the thrills. A thought that kept me bothered throughout was, why the makers didn’t go full desi-style street when they had to name this one as Street Dancer? Streets have zero role to play making the title misleading. The electrifying effect in the initial performance, usage of magical tricks while dancing and a lot happens on the floor which keeps you intrigued.
Street Dancer 3D Movie Review: Star Performance
Varun Dhawan gets his moves right and the dancer in him just overshadows the actor in him. That’s what’s required and he has improved a lot since ABCD 2 smoothening his dance moves. Shraddha Kapoor gets no scope to act but she balances that with her beautiful presence on the dance-floor. Though not as good as the professional dancers around her, efforts are truly visible. She deserved a more balanced character to add the value.
Prabhudheva got the maximum cheers in our press show when he just broke into dancing on Muqabla. Won’t even give my two cents neither on his acting chops nor his dancing skills because we all know what’s what. Out of the dancers, Dharmesh gets his act right and enjoys lil bit of both the departments. Nora Fatehi looked the most ‘dancer’ than all the dancers around.

More than Remo D’Souza ‘directing’ this film, he has choreographed it. He’s a totally different person when it comes to the dancing scenes. He manages to create the aura around those sequences. He fails in mixing the good dance with the routine story that’s running parallel. Though it’s a good try as compared to ABCD2, the story still lacks soul.
Illegal Weapon 2.0 and Lahore doesn’t bring in anything apart from a few thumping beats. Garmi literally raises the temperature as Nora Fatehi makes it just irresistible to take your eyes off. Mainu Pind Jaana Hai comes in as a surprise as it delves well into the narrative. Dua Karo serves its hollow purpose of expressing the regret of Varun Dhawan. Sachin-Jigar’s background score backs the dancing sequences making them look as dazzling as they should.
Street Dancer 3D Movie Review: The Last Word
All said and done, Street Dancer 3D delivers what it promises – breathtaking dance. This is closest we’ve got to the Step Up series and that’s an achievement. Watch it for what it is rather than what you expect it to be & you might enjoy it.

The story revolves around the catchphrase of “every mother deserves a second chance!” We have Jaya Nigam (Kangana Ranaut) who once led the India Women’s National Kabaddi Team and now is just any other mother. She’s living with the burden of what she could’ve made of her life and what she instead chose. She says, “Main kya kar sakti thi aur main kya kar rahi hoon?” to her very supportive husband Prashant (Jassie Gill) and there you feel the pain.
Jaya reunites with her old friend Meenu (Richa Chadha) who used to play Kabbadi with her and is still a successful coach. She decides to make a comeback (for a month) just to fulfill his son’s wish but finds her lost-self and never turns back. It’s all about her efforts to make it to the national team, once again, years later.

Panga Movie Review: Script Analysis
Love the way how Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari treats the slice-of-life aspects of her story, they’re closest to the reality. The first half is filled with very smart and situational humour which grasps your attention. Though I had a complaint about not exploring the ‘sports angle’ much in the first half, the real problem started when they actually did. When Hockey was highlighted as a mainstream sport in Chak De India! we loved it because it had thrills.
Here, Kabaddi remains too formulaic and predictable. Ironically, same as Street Dancer 3D, Panga too suffers the problem of “we know who’ll win, give us the thrills?” Ashwiny loses the balance between sports & story in the second half which stretches the narrative.
Panga Movie Review: Star Performance
Jaya is right up Kangana Ranaut’s alley. She effortlessly portrays the character without any flaws and shines as an actor. It’s her way of underplaying the role the relates us the most with her character. Surely, one of her bests performances. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari exploits Jassie Gill for his million-dollar smile. His smile just lits up the dark cinema hall and it’s pretty contagious. He acts well guy somewhere I wish I could’ve seen more of him.
Yagya Bhasin, as Kangana & Jassie’s son, is the real hero of the film. Interestingly, Ashwiny & Nikhil Mehrotra pen some of the most hilarious dialogues for him and he delivers with similar confidence. Richa Chadha is pretty but plain. She lacks the zing of a sportsperson and just doesn’t come across one. Neena Gupta is adorable! In just a couple of scenes, she proves how she can mould any character to her taste.

Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari gets the emotions right yet again but fails in the other half of the film. In the genre of sports-drama, she gets the ‘drama’ portion on-point. Even during the matches, Nitesh Tiwari’s (Director of Dangal) screenplay just doesn’t add any thrills making it a predictable watch.
Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy have lost their touch completely with this album. There is not a single track that really works with the story. Missed something like ‘Haanikarak Bapu’ during Jaya’s practice session. Mohan Kanan’s Wahi Hai Raste sounds well for the first time but it’s ruined by its placement in the film.

All said and done, Panga makes a daring comment on women empowerment & how every mother deserves a second chance. Backed with some brilliant performances, it connects you with the drama with some inhibitions.

The case was registered on the complaint of Sonu Jafar, President of the Christian Front, in Punjab’s Ajnala town in Amritsar district. He alleged that religious sentiments of the Christians have been hurt when the stars trivialized the word “Hallelujah” while trying to pronounce it. The FIR in question was filed on December 25 and was followed by peaceful protests across the state.
It all started when Bharti Singh along with Raveena Tandon was playing a game on a chat show hosted by filmmaker Farah Khan. During the game section, Bharti and Raveena had to write the spellings for given words and the comedian being unknown of the word ‘Hallelujah’ ended up in an unintentional controversy.
A similar verdict has been given for Raveena and Farah Khan earlier this week, who were too stuck in the legal case.
The case was registered under Section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Ayushmann Khurrana has started the promotions of his upcoming film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film deals with the subject of homosexuality in which the Bala actor is paired alongside Jitendra Kumar. The trailer of the film received a great response from the audience.
Recently, in an interview, Ayushmann Khurrana made a blunder while talking about same-s*x marriages. The actor thought that in 2018 when the Supreme Court decriminalised homosexuality in the country, it also legalised same-s*x marriages.

Khurrana had said to The Times Of India, “We are really proud that we are supporting the community. Our country is very progressive that it legalised same-sex marriages.” However, people on social media immediately bashed the actor for not knowing enough about the law despite playing a gay character in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
Ayushmann Khurrana then took to his Twitter page to clear it out that it was a genuine slip from his side and he wishes that same-s*x marriages are legalised in India. The National-Award winner tweeted, “A genuine slip here though I really wish same-sex marriages get legal in India.”
Meanwhile, at an event recently, Ayushmann Khurrana opened up on why he decided to do Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The talented actor had stated, “We want to reach out to people, who are averse to homosexuality. This is the first Hindi mainstream commercial film in India based on homosexuality. We hope it will at least usher in the conversation and have a discussion on LGBTQ.”
The film is helmed by Hitesh Kewalya and also stars Neena Gupta, Maanvu Gagroo and Gajraj Rao. It will hit the screens on February 21, 2020.

Chopra said that 10 years ago when she was writing a book on Shah Rukh Khan, she had asked him about the most absurd script that was offered to him. That’s when Shah Rukh Khan told her that one day, a bearded and arty type director came to him and pitched him a story in which his character becomes a gangster after he can’t marry the girl he loves.
She shared, “The girl, on the other hand, has married a cop. At some point, the cop starts chasing the gangster, oblivious to the fact that the duo were ex-lovers. After some time, the cop shoots the gangster. Wounded, he somehow takes refuge in a train. As luck would have it, the woman is travelling on the same train. The gangster is lying there, unable to find water. Then, the woman breastfeeds him and thereby a brother-sister relationship is formed!”
When Shah Rukh Khan questioned the director about the weird ending stating, “Don’t you think that’s an odd scene?”, the filmmaker told him, “What a dirty mind you have!”
