The last time Ranbir Kapoor clashed with Shah Rukh Khan at the box office, the end product wasn’t quite pretty. So with Jagga Jasoos and Happy New Year’s release date getting too close for comfort for the young actor, it was finally decided that the film will release on Gandhi Jayanti (2nd October). Happy New Year, however, will still release on Diwali next year.

Though the Besharam jinx did not quite play in the mind young R.K, it seems Ranbir will have to face another big star whose film is looking to release on the same date. After much delay, Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang too has reserved 2nd October release for their film. And with so much fiasco about the releases of both films, it seems 2nd October is locked by both Hrithik and Ranbir for their respective films.
