Happy New Year had a tremendous journey at the box office. The film which was the big Diwali release starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles has now collected 123.86 crores at the domestic box office. It managed to pull off the 100 crores feat in just three days and is currently the fastest film to do so.

After its first Monday, the film has now surpassed the lifetime collections of Akshay Kumar’s Holiday which had collected 112.65 crores and also Salman Khan’s Jai Ho which had collected 111 crores at the domestic box office. Happy New Year has now become the fourth highest grosser of 2014.
