Ranveer Singh has been proclaiming with great excitement about how ecstatic he is about sharing screen space with Govinda. For the younger lot, the guy is a legend and an icon. Now that Govinda has worked with a set of really young actors in Kill Dil, he has all words of praise for them especially for Ranveer who has got Govinda to whistle for him in Ramleela.
When asked whether Ranveer can become the next Govinda, the actor smiled and replied, “Kaise banega Govinda. Yeh daur hi alag hai.”

Govinda rose to his ranks on the basis of sheer hard work and the reason why he clicked so well with people was because he was a man from the masses. But clearly, despite all the potential and hardwork, the primary reason why Ranveer can’t become another Govinda is simple. Govinda puts it with care and intelligence, “Humein kaam ki bhook thi, unhe kaam mein bhook hai. We were hungry for work, the younger actors are hungry to work. We used to go frantic about getting work. Volume mattered more than quality. These actors think what magical can they do with the role they have got. They give their all to one role.”
Actors earlier used to do 4 films a year. Actors now meticulously work on one diligently, doing a single film a year. Govinda finds this attitude impressive. Praising his younger co-actors, Govinda said, “Young actors are very sincere, very hard working. They are all so enterprising. They are perfect at so many fields, from dance to action, everything. Their growth is all encompassing which we were not privileged enough to have. They bring so much to one role.”
Govinda is playing a grey character in Kill Dil. Helmed by Shaad Ali, the film stars Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar in lead roles.
