The buzz of Shhuddhi being shelved was cut after Salman Khan revealed that he has bagged Karan Johar’s much hyped project. The film, that was to mark the return of the Agneepath trio KJo-Karan Malhotra and Hrithik Roshan, was interesting on many levels. Especially because Hrithik and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who were rumored to be an item towards the beginning of their careers were expected to work together.
Hrithik-Kareena’s onscreen chemistry was a rage and they have featured in multiple films together at a point of time. After Hrithik walked out of Shhuddhi, Kareena in many interviews have mentioned that she has no idea where the project is heading. KJo had infact reframed the cast, trying to rope in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh who chose to work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani instead.

Now that Salman is in place for the film, the pertinent question remains is Kareena back in frame. In a recent interview, we asked the same to Bebo and she replied, “I don’t know if am doing Shhuddhi. That will be in 2015 and am already working on Kabir Khan’s film. I am already doing a film with Salman. But appearing back to back with the same actor shouldn’t happen.”
Kareena continued with, “For me Shhuddhi was synonymous with Hrithik in the film. The reason I did the film was Hrithik. But when he didn’t do the film, I decided to opt out as well. Though I haven’t seen Bang Bang teaser, Hrithik is just fantastic at his work.”
Salman had earlier told Koimoi that the lead lady for Shhuddhi is still in haze. After speaking to Kareena, one thing is certain Shhuddhi is not on her cards for sure. We hope some other project brings back the terrific and scorching on screen chemistry of Hrithik and Bebo.
