Humshakals has grossed over 50 crores at the domestic box office finally. And Riteish Deshmukh, who is probably the star this month, could not be more thrilled about it. While last week Humshakals had him sharing the lead space with Saif Ali Khan and Ram Kapoor, in his next - Ek Villain too the actor shares screen space with the smoldering Sidharth Malhotra. One would obviously assume that the actor is in a very secure zone to be taking up such roles so easily.

Ask Riteish about it and he responds with, “Multi-starrers are not easy. I feel only when an actor is comfortable with his genre should do multi-starrers. So many times, we’ve seen insecurity creeping in. ‘What am I doing, Is that guy doing better than me, How do I outdo him?’ You know this kind of thing spoils the scene. Eventually it all spoils the film. I’ve been very lucky to have worked with other actors who are very comfortable in their space and don’t bother for more. When you work together, one’s job is to make the other actor look good and his job is to make me look good. Together you can then make a scene look better.”

Coming to Sidharth Malhotra, his co-star in the film that releases this Friday, Riteish says, “It’s okay that he used me as a punching bag in fight scenes. I think it’s great to have a young actor involved. I was the young one when I worked with Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn and now I am working with someone younger. So it’s great to have that kind of energy. Sidharth did have that.”

Sidharth talking about Riteish had earlier told us, “His experience really helps the set. He was the most relaxed person on the set and that comes with the number of films he had done. While doing action I used to get excited at times but he was very understanding and sweet about it. He used to help me out with my postures so that I don’t hit him (laughs). He is great energy who helps and was never difficult about anything. Riteish’s fun stories and sense of humor is great.”

Great camaraderies makes for great stories. But two villains befriending each other is a rare sight! Ek Villain starring Riteish & Sidharth, alongside Shraddha Kapoor is releasing this Friday.
