Holiday Becomes The 8th Highest Grosser Of 2014, Evicts Hasee Toh Phasee

Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty starring Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha has already entered the Highest Grossers of 2014 list after its massive opening weekend collections. The film after its first weekend stands with a total of 41 crores at the domestic box office.

Becoming the eighth highest grosser of 2014 already, Akshay’s Holiday has evicted the Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra starrer rom-com Hasee Toh Phasee. The rom-com was earlier placed at the tenth position with a lifetime collection of 35.50 crores. Holiday also surpassed the lifetime collections of Amitabh Bachchan’s Bhoothnath Returns which stood with a lifetime collection 37.50 crores and Yaariyaan which had a lifetime collection of 40 crores at the domestic box office.

The action drama had an impressive first weekend and is one of the biggest opening weekend numbers for an Akshay Kumar film. The film is sure to keep up a good pace over its first week and climb up the top ten grossers’ list higher.
