Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha’s pairing is probably making great fodder for interesting news in Bollywood lately. The duo, who are vigorously shooting for Boney Kapoor’s Tevar, have finally hit it off well with each other. In an earlier event, the actress had gossip mongers fabricating uncomfortable stories out of her much controversial ‘Arjun is a thorough professional but not overtly friendly’ statement.
But in her recent interview with Koimoi, for her upcoming film Holiday, the actress seemed visibly pleased about the way Tevar is shaping up. When asked about the film she said, “It is going fantastic. It is one of the films I am really looking forward to. Amit Sharma is brilliant. He has done some amazing, heart touching ads. The Google one, The lifebuoy ad are commercials people can connect to. Tevar being his first feature film, he is making it exactly like that. People can actually sit and relate to the character. It is very realistic with common man. I consider Tevar to be a very relatable film.”
Talking about her chemistry with Arjun, “It is good. So far so good. I think we look good together on screen. I just saw a few rushes and it is looking quite nice and very fresh.”

It has been frequently reported about how Ranveer Singh was the connecting factor for Arjun and Sonakshi. Ranveer, who worked with Sonakshi in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Lootera, wanted the two to work together. Affirming the same, Sonakshi gushed, “Ranveer wanted us to work together. When I was shooting for Lootera with him, he always used to tell me that I would make a fantastic pair with Arjun. And he is right now.”
Ranveer and Arjun, who hit the headlines during Gunday‘s promotions giving a glimpse of their endearing yaari, dosti and dostana, are constantly compared by industry insiders. Since Sonakshi has worked with both the actors, the question was inevitable. The actress said, “They are quite different from each other. Ranveer is over energetic and Arjun is more calm.”
Though being typecast is a common problem with Sonakshi, who often has a tendency to repeat characters and roles, Tevar and Holiday both attempt to present her differently. But the actress is more excited about a woman oriented project she has taken up, which is set to announce soon. She said, “I am not allowed to talk about it still so you will have to wait for the announcement.”
Meanwhile, Holiday‘s release is round the corner. Hitting the screens on 6th June, A.R Murugadoss is back with a action thriller, a genre he has an expertise over and the buzz around the film is flattering. Starring Akshay Kumar along with Sonakshi, the film is based on the Tamil flick Thuppakki.
