The much lauded director Abhishek Kapoor has already two superhit films under his wing, namely Kai Po Che and Rock On; and now the filmmaker is back with UTV Motion Pictures with a passionate love saga. For the second time adapting a novel after ’3 Mistakes Of My Life’, this time he chooses the classic novel ‘Great Expectations’ written by Charles Dickens. Ready to churn an engaging film, it has been titled Fitoor.
Aditya Roy Kapur, Rekha, Abhishek Kapoor and Katrina Kaif
Creating buzz over the casting coup, the final starcast of Fitoor has now been revealed by the makers. The film will see Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapur as the lead pair whereas cast in a powerful role is also veteran actress Rekha.
Transformed into the Indian setting, the story will be set in Kashmir where Aditya plays a young lad named Noor and Katrina as Firdaus his love interest. Rekha’s character is that of an essential Begum.
Penned by Supratik Sen, the film’s major portions will be shot in Kashmir, Delhi and North India including some international destinations.
Fitoor is scheduled to go on floors in August 2014.
