After Aamir Khan took the grey shade in Dhoom 3, we hear Shah Rukh Khan too was offered the same. According to a leading daily, SRK was approached by director duo Abbas-Mastan to star in a negative role for their next installment of the Race series. The report suggested that the directors planned to portray SRK as the villain in the action thriller, who would be the film’s protagonist.
While SRK has been in the antagonist’s shoes before, in his initial films such as Darr and Anjaam, the actor did not seem very keen this time. The same daily reported that SRK not convinced with the script turned down this role.

Apparently, the actor was hesitant about it and mentioned that the audience would not accept him in the negative character.
But, there has been no confirmation on SRK being approached for this role or him turning it down officially! So in case, he changes his mind (if at all he has been approached for the Race 3) we might see him don the negative shades again.
