The Amazing Spiderman 2 which released last week has surpassed its prequel’s records by recording the highest opening weekend collections for a Hollywood film in India. The film grossed approximately 41.7 crores in its four day opening weekend (31.40 crores Nett after Tax Deduction). It’s last installment, The Amazing Spiderman which released two years ago had made a business of 27.5 crores at the India box office.
Being the widest release in India, the film had 1523 screens. It released in four languages for the Indian audiences – English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu and in 3D, 2D, IMAX 3D and in Dolby Atmos where available.

Sequels to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 have already been announced for release in 2016 and 2018.
