Abbas Mustan’s adaptation of Alexander Dumas’ 1844 novel, The Count of Monte Christo was in order with Saif Ali Khan playing the film’s main lead. The film was slated to release in 2015, however has now got postponed since the film will be going on floors only next year.
As per reports of a leading daily, Saif had heard a one and half hour narration before leaving to shoot for Humshakals in Mauritius. Later. the actor busied himself shooting for Kabir Khan’s Phantom. Nevertheless, the director duo had assumed that once Khan wraps up his Chandigarh schedule, he will work out the details of the film and zero on the lead lady.

But, the untitled project has now been pushed to accommodate the projects Saif is involved in, the biggest one being Phantom with Katrina Kaif. This film can now roll only in 2015 now and meanwhile, Abbas-Mustan have diverted their attention towards the Big B starrer murder mystery the two were working on.
