Bhoothnath Returns on its opening day did not pick up to a brilliant start at the box office. The movie earned in the range of 3.40 crores to 3.50 crores, as per early estimates at the domestic box office.
The film’s caliber was definitely worth more given the mesmeric presence of Amitabh Bachchan on screen but the start hasn’t been overwhelming due to the dull season in Bollywood. Though Big B fans can be expected to flock at the theatres over the weekend, adding on to the income of the film, a great word of the mouth will also prove beneficial for the film.

The critics have spread a positive word about the film too which help in incurring better income of the venture. Since the film started low yesterday and the occupancy increased only towards the later shows of the day, it earned well only from the prime Metros mostly Mumbai and did not record respectable numbers from the single screens.
