It is definitely a hard name to pronounce. A film built on a mammoth budget of nearly 125 crores is all set to create history by being the first film of its kind to release in India, starring Indian stars. Expected to see a wide release in nearly 6000 screens, the film will release in 6 languages.

In an interview with Koimoi, Soundarya Rajnikanth the film’s director was questioned about the film’s name and she said, “Kochadaiiyaan is the name of a person. Ko means King in Tamil and Chadaiiyaan means one with a lot of hair. Usually it is synonymous with the name of Lord Shiva.”

So was there a talk of changing the film’s title for a Bollywood release? Soundarya replied affirmatively, “Yes the topic had come up and we had discussed it. My father was against changing the name because it is the name of the protagonist on whom the film is based. That has to stay the same.”

The young filmmaker who is attempting a task as gigantic as this film is all set to leave an impressionable mark for the sheer attempt she is taking. Given the film’s massive release along with the commercial soul of it, Soundarya seemed hopeful and confident of the film incurring back its cost.
