After having a successful 2013 with four 100 crore grossers in her kitty, actress Deepika Padukone is currently having a long list of film offers.
Apparently she has been one of the top contenders for the two primary films that are being considered this year – Salman Khan starrer Bade Bhaiya, Karan Johar’s Shuddhi and also a film alongside Aamir Khan. However, if recent news reports are to be believed filmmaker Shoojit Sircar has approached Deepika Padukone for his next directorial Piku that will also star seasoned actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan. Sharing screen space with the likes of veterans like Bachchans and hailed stars like Irrfan speaks volumes about the actor’s caliber and how she has stretched her limitations to become fantastic.

Shoojit’s film being a character driven, father-daughter drama, Deepika seems to be considering more challenging roles the commercial regulars. With movies like Finding Fanny an English- Konkani film by Homi Adajania under her wing, Deepika is surely revamping her image as an actress.
